Step-by-step setup

  1. Install and open InPose

Install InPose from the Shopify App Store, review the requested permissions, and open InPose from your store's Apps menu. No separate InPose account is needed.

  2. Start with 10 lifetime free videos

Open Plan & usage to see your allowance. Each store gets 10 free completed try-on videos for its lifetime, including reinstalls. Billing approval is optional until that allowance is used; failed generations restore a credit. To continue afterward, approve Shopify billing at $0.90 per completed video. Spending guardrails also apply to free videos: a $0 daily or monthly limit blocks generation when automatic stopping is enabled. Review your limits and the pause control before testing or welcoming shoppers.

  3. Choose products in Catalog

Open Catalog and include the products or collections you want shoppers to try on. Exclude unwanted products and check the final Eligible status of your test product. A product exclusion wins; otherwise, an explicit product inclusion overrides a collection exclusion. Check the intended product images and wait for catalog processing if it is still updating.

  4. Enable the widget, add the block, and save

In Storefront, choose Enable widget, then Open theme editor. Select the product template used by your test product. The shortcut may already have added a block; use that one rather than adding a duplicate. Otherwise choose Add block > Apps > InPose try-on in a section that supports app blocks, and place it where shoppers can find it. Enabling the widget alone does not add the block. Click Save in Shopify. If you are editing a draft theme, preview it there; publish the intended theme when ready to make it visible to shoppers.

  5. Make the block match your store

Select the InPose block in the theme editor. Customize Headline, Accent color, Button text color (Solid treatment only), Surface color, Corner radius (0-32 px), Inner spacing (8-36 px), and Button treatment (Solid, Soft, or Outline). Keep text readable against its background, check mobile and desktop previews, and click Save again.

  6. Test with a photo you are authorized to use

Visit your eligible product page on the intended storefront or theme preview and choose the intended variant. Read and accept the privacy notice, then upload your own photo or a photo you have permission from the person shown to use. Choose one clear, well-lit person photo in JPEG, PNG, or WebP format, up to 2 MB. Keep the page open while generation runs. A completed test uses one of your store's free videos, or paid usage after the allowance and billing approval. Results are AI-generated illustrations, not a size or fit guarantee.

Need a hand?

If the widget is missing, check product eligibility, the product's actual template, the saved theme, and the Storefront enable switch. If generation is unavailable, check remaining free videos, any in-progress reservations, the pause control, and spending limits, which also apply to free videos. After the free allowance is used, check billing approval too.
